You can make a difference in the lives of those who have stood up for what they believe is right. Our beneficiaries have all been persecuted and often imprisoned and tortured purely for their beliefs or actions. Our interventions are practical and effective. A typical Appeal Fund grant of around £500 can sustain a family and keep the children at school while mum or dad are incarcerated, or help with rehabilitation on release, or, in the worst case, can help someone escape and find a safe place to live.

A donation to Prisoners of Conscience is not just about practical help. It shows some of the world's bravest people that others admire their courage. And it shows the bullies and torturers they can't have everything their own way.
