food FOR LIFE

Thousands of Zimbabweans are fleeing their homeland every day. Most end up in South Africa, homeless and desperate. Up to 800 are being forced to take refuge in a church in central Johannesburg because they have nowhere else to go.
A quick survey of the occupiers at the church revealed that many eat less than one meal a day - some, one meal in three days. Many are very sick and the lack of food compounds their illnesses. We have facilitated a soup kitchen to alleviate this dire situation. Since July 2007, an average of 550 people have been fed on every alternate day. However, with your support, we will be able to offer at least one meal every day.
A contribution of £10 would feed an entire family for a month. This includes pregnant women and very young babies. Help us do something positive to change their situation.
