The 2.6 Challenge

The Covid-19 pandemic is having a devastating effect on charities across the UK with the loss of vital fundraising income. In response, the charity and sports sectors came together to create the 2.6 Challenge, a new campaign to raise funds for UK charities. People had to choose and complete an activity based around the numbers 2.6 or 26, while raising money for their selected charity. Drawing strength from our beneficiaries’ courage and determination, the PoC team and supporters challenged themselves, and took part in all kinds of activities to raise vital funds for prisoners of conscience.

Our Home Heroes

The 26 leather key fobs, 676 push-ups, 2.6 minutes of headstand variations, 2.6 minutes of solving the Rubik’s cube, 26 minutes of hula-hooping, 26 plants, 182 sun salutations, and 119.6 km of running or roller-blading, helped us raise an incredible £3,778 for people human rights defenders around the world.

Many thanks to all of you for completing your remarkable 2.6 Challenges and to everyone who supported our efforts! Without people like you, the vital work we do to keep human rights defenders and their voices alive wouldn’t be possible.
